Mechanical Estimator
The Mechanical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for plumbing, piping, and HVAC systems across multiple projects. This role requires strong technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Accurately identify, quantify, and document piping, equipment, and components for various mechanical systems.
+ Review all bid documents, specifications, and drawings; proactively seek clarifications to ensure the development of an accurate and comprehensive bid.
+ Perform budgeting, unit pricing, pipe sizing, and general code compliance assessments; understand the layout of plumbing, piping, and HVAC duct systems.
+ Manage and bid multiple projects concurrently, preparing detailed estimates including materials, labor, subcontractor selections, alternates, and unit pricing as required.
+ Conduct site surveys for potential projects to determine accurate and cost‑effective pricing solutions.
+ Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals for compliance with project requirements and specifications.
+ Estimate HVAC and plumbing projects and change orders in alignment with corporate profit goals and project expectations.
+ Provide conceptual system designs and pricing to support early‑stage project development.
+ Complete mechanical system take‑offs using established company processes and standards.
+ Collaborate with project teams to identify and evaluate value-engineering opportunities.
+ Develop project general conditions, estimate summaries, schedules, and other supporting documentation as necessary.
+ Participate in bid reviews, presentations, and finalization meetings as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME), HVAC Engineering, or Construction Management.
+ Strong communication, relationship‑building, and customer service skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and preparation of detailed proposals and quotes.
+ Ability to work effectively in both team‑based and independent environments.
+ Excellent multi‑tasking, organizational, and prioritization abilities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
