A growing land development and civil engineering team is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead residential subdivision projects from initial feasibility through design, construction, and closeout. This role is ideal for a licensed Civil Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys owning projects end-to-end.
The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of land development projects, serving as the technical and strategic lead from concept planning through construction delivery. This individual will work closely with municipalities, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project feasibility evaluations, optimizing site layouts with site-specific design considerations
- Oversee the design and coordination of:
- Roadway systems
- Sanitary sewer networks
- Stormwater management infrastructure
- Manage zoning, platting, and permitting processes with city and county agencies
- Direct preparation and submittal of construction plans, specifications, and permitting applications
- Oversee stormwater management and erosion control design
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, including construction timelines
- Coordinate with surveyors, utility providers, municipalities, and contractors
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within financial targets
- Provide support during lot sales and construction phases as needed
- 5+ years of experience in land development engineering and project management
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- Active Texas P.E. license (Civil) in good standing
- Strong experience with:
- AutoCAD
- HEC-HMS
- HEC-RAS
- Demonstrated experience managing residential subdivision projects
- Strong knowledge of Texas municipal permitting and approval processes
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
- A proactive, solutions-oriented leader
- Strong communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
- Detail-oriented with a strong command of budgets and timelines
- Comfortable managing projects from concept through construction
