Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
The Cost Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating cost data to help Molex's ADS Division optimize expenses, improve budgeting accuracy, and support strategic financial decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do- Collect, analyze, and interpret cost data related to production, operations, and projects.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts to support budgeting and financial planning.
- Identify cost variances and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams to gather relevant data and ensure cost control.
- Support the maintenance and regular updating of standard costs, ensuring they reflect current market prices, production efficiencies, and operational changes to maintain accurate budgeting and variance analysis. This includes the review of purchase price variances as well as manufacturing variances.
- Support the implementation of cost-saving initiatives and track their effectiveness.
- Maintain and update cost databases and financial models.
- Support the enhancement and optimization of costing and reporting frameworks to ensure compliance with CAS, TINA, FAR, and DFARS requirements.
- Prepare and analyze month end inventory reconciliations.
- Develop reporting dashboard for cycle count tracking for manufacturing sites and provide support to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Lead and support the analysis of Slow & Excess (S&E) inventory by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that reserves are accurately reflected.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, or related roles. (3+ years of industry experience)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to express ideas and exchange information clearly and concisely across functions and levels within the organization.
- Strong organizational skills to anticipate, plan, organize, and self-monitor workload with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong cost accounting background with in-depth knowledge related to FP&A and variance analysis techniques.
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for discovery that leads to new insights and ways of doing things.
- Experience working in manufacturing, supply chain, or similar industries.
- Proficiency in financial ERP systems (Glovia, SAP, One Stream, or other large ERP systems).
- Advanced MS Excel capability (e.g., Pivot Tables, V & H Lookups, creating charts and tables, data modeling, financial returns, forecasting, graphs, charts, macros).
- Familiarity with business / data analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., Python, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL).
