The occupational therapist will provide services for the pediatric population age 0-21 with developmental, neurological, and medical based disorders in an outpatient clinic setting. This position performs highly responsible work that will promote quality patient care and efficiency. The occupational therapist will also collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team including physicians, psychologists, therapists, BCBAs, school staff, and parents to provide holistic services.

The occupational therapist is responsible for planning and administering evaluations, treatment plans, consults, screenings, parent education and for promoting the overall health of the patient. In addition, this position requires flexibility with scheduled hours as the company continues to thrive and grow.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Provides skilled occupational therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
• Adheres to state requirements for supervision of COTAs to provide services with the highest care standards
• Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.
• Agrees to complete 75% billable hours of all hours worked each week. If not consistently met, 30 days (thirty) to achieve this standard before a transition to part time status occurs.
• Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
• Maintains patient records confidentially.
• Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.
• Complies with the applicable State Occupational Therapy Practice Act, rules and regulations

• Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
• Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.
