The Activities Team plays a vital role in creating memorable and enjoyable experiences for our guests by bringing the FUN to our campgrounds! This is achieved by planning, leading, and participating in a wide variety of activity programs, supervising and assisting guests with crafts and games, managing our inflatable attractions at the lake, and ensuring that all recreational facilities and equipment are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Please note that this is a seasonal position, ideal for individuals who enjoy working in an active, outdoor environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Plan, prepare, and lead a diverse range of guest activities, including arts and crafts, games, and themed events that appeal to all age groups.
• Consistently deliver all branded experiences in accordance with company standards to ensure a high-quality and uniform guest experience.
• Foster a fun, engaging, and interactive environment during all scheduled activities, encouraging hands-on participation and learning.
• Maintain a positive, upbeat, and energetic demeanor when interacting with guests, ensuring that even when not on break, you are approachable and available to assist or engage with visitors.
• Ensure the safety, cleanliness, and professional appearance of all activity areas during the planning, coordination, and execution of events and branded experiences.
• Accurately handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system, adhering strictly to proper cash-handling procedures to maintain financial integrity.
• Participate in character costume duties by taking turns dressing up and escorting co-workers who are in costume, enhancing the guest experience through themed entertainment.
• Decorate the park according to the weekly or weekend theme, creating an immersive and festive atmosphere for guests.
• Regularly inspect and maintain recreational facilities, including restrooms and equipment, ensuring they remain neat, clean, safe, and fully operational at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience, or at least 6 months' experience in a similar capacity.
• Must be flexible, motivated, creative and willing to learn new skills.
• Some experience working with children.
• Maintain personal hygiene standards in accordance with Virginia State Health Standards for Food Service Employees.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all personnel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position is an extremely physically active position. Employees are regularly required to stand and walk. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
