Solutions Architect

Your Job

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Solutions Architect to help shape how technology is designed and delivered across Molex. This role is about improving how technical decisions are made, reducing risk, and ensuring we build solutions that scale, perform, and last.

You will work across sites and teams to bring clarity to complex problems, guide critical decisions, and help others operate more effectively without creating dependency.

• Help teams clearly frame problems before jumping to solutions
• Guide architectural decisions across network, infrastructure, cloud, and security
• Ensure tradeoffs are understood across cost, risk, performance, and scalability
• Step in on decisions with enterprise impact or long-term consequences
• Enable engineers, site IT/OT, and product teams to make strong decisions independently
• Reduce unnecessary escalation through clear guidance and reusable patterns
• Teach how to think, not just what to do
• Engage on high-impact or high-risk initiatives
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise direction and standards
• Manage vendor relationships and support contract and service discussions

• Teams make better decisions without constant architect involvement
• Fewer late-stage escalations and redesigns
• Clear, practical guidance that teams actually use
• Strong alignment across regions without slowing execution

• Strong background in network, infrastructure, and security
• Experience operating in complex, global environments
• Ability to evaluate tradeoffs and make balanced, practical decisions
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to influence without direct authority

• Strong problem-solving skills with a bias for action
• Comfortable operating under pressure and managing multiple priorities
• Exposure to manufacturing, plant environments, or OT/IT integrations
• Experience defining standards, patterns, or reference architecture
• Experience working with external partners and vendors
