We are an intentional, busy family of five living in Georgetown, Texas. We both work full‑time from home in demanding careers, and most days involve balancing work, school schedules, activities, meals, and all the moving pieces of family life. Our kids (9, 7, and
5) are active, curious, and independent, and we work hard to create a home environment that feels grounded and connected.
The biggest challenge in our household isn't any single task, but the mental load of managing all the moving pieces. No two weeks look exactly the same, and coordinating activities, appointments, school logistics, and day‑to‑day household needs can quickly become overwhelming. Having the right support would allow us to spend less time managing the details and more time focusing on our family, our work, and the things that matter most.
We are a low‑screen household by choice. Our kids are more likely to be found building Legos, playing outside, reading, or practicing Spanish than sitting in front of a device. We value a strong work ethic, healthy food, and organizational systems that make everyday life easier.
Who You Are / What We're Looking ForYou are proactive, highly organized, and naturally take ownership of your work. You notice what needs attention, address it without being asked, and enjoy creating systems that make a household run more smoothly. You're dependable, self‑directed, and take genuine pride in doing things well.
You are professional and trustworthy. You know how to build positive relationships while maintaining appropriate boundaries, and you're comfortable working alongside busy professionals who value discretion, competence, and follow‑through. Your work speaks for itself because you consistently do what you say you're going to do.
You thrive in an environment where no two weeks look exactly the same. Experience supporting families with school‑age children is important, and Spanish fluency or a passion for language learning would be a wonderful bonus. Above all, you're someone who helps lighten the mental load and creates the kind of support that allows a family to breathe a little easier.
Key Responsibilities Family Support- Manage afternoon school and camp pickups, with transportation to and from after‑school activities for three children (karate, swim, piano, and others as the schedule evolves)
- Support children in their after‑school routines, empowering them to autonomously manage their chores and homework independently (follow‑up on chore charts, ensure tasks are completed correctly, etc.)
- Maintain awareness of the family's activity calendar to ensure all logistical needs are planned for and events/appointments are carried out successfully (this may evolve into fuller calendar management over time)
- Create and maintain household organization systems that are functional, sustainable, and adaptable as the family's needs change across life stages
- Manage organization and daily resets for high‑traffic drop zones (e.g. mudroom entry from the garage)
- Reset and tidy daily: wipe surfaces, load and unload dishwasher, take out trash, vacuum high‑traffic areas, and other general upkeep between cleaning visits
- Assist with seasonal clothing swaps and organization of children's clothing and gear as sizes change
- Care for indoor plants
- Coordinate and prepare items for donation as needed
- Track receipts and budgets for job‑related expenses
- Maintain running household supplies list and restock items as needed
