A leading financial organization is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the efficient, compliant, and successful operation of a branch. This working leadership role will oversee day-to-day branch activities, scheduling, performance goals, and team development while maintaining a positive and customer-focused environment.
The Assistant Branch Manager will serve as the acting leader when the Branch Manager is unavailable and will play an active role in coaching, mentoring, and developing branch employees.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Relationship Banker and Senior Relationship Banker responsibilities as needed while serving as a hands-on supervisor and setting a strong example for the team.
- Provide regular coaching and mentoring to employees to strengthen their skills and support relationship building through ongoing 1:1 interactions.
- Develop employee development plans that support career progression, sales objectives, and customer service goals.
- Promote a positive workplace through effective leadership, open communication, and leading by example.
- Develop business contacts and participate in community events to increase branch visibility, attract prospective customers, and contribute directly to business growth and key performance results.
- Refer customers to specialized areas including mortgage, wealth management, and insurance.
- Support branch budgeting, expense management, and profitability initiatives.
- Assist with daily branch operations, including employee scheduling, audits, and the operational aspects of cash handling.
- Assume responsibility for branch operations in the Branch Manager’s absence, handling critical matters while continuing to perform Relationship Banker responsibilities and maintaining established customer-service practices.
- Participate in community involvement activities and perform other duties as assigned.
