2nd Shift Production Associate - Grinder

Overview

As a CPI Production Associate - Grinder in CPI’s Georgetown, Texas location, you will perform production tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor. Tasks may include operation of a spot welder, use of hand tools such as drill and sander, and cleaning/preparing metal surfaces before and after welding. You are responsible for meeting safety, quality, and productivity expectations.

• Under direct supervision, operate equipment and perform production tasks as assigned.
• Inspect and maintain equipment for safety compliance; notify the Production Supervisor of safety issues before operations.
• Inspect parts according to work-in-process inspection procedures; notify Production Supervisor or Quality Assurance Inspector of quality and/or mechanical problems. Minor repairs and equipment adjustments may be performed by the Production Supervisor and/or Setup person as needed.
• Work from blueprints, engineering specifications, and production schedules.

• Continuously maintains a clean work area. Disposes of trash and production scrap. Assists in cleaning common areas.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

• High school or equivalent education preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Capable of using measuring devices as required for product inspection.
• Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand dictates.
