Production Manager
About The Role
The Production Manager is responsible for leading the day‑to‑day operations of production employees, ensuring that production delivery, quality, and cost metrics are met. The Production Manager will focus on employee productivity, quality, safety, and training, typically supervising a team of 4+ Supervisors and 100+ production talents.
What You’ll Do Provide Work Direction to the Extended Team- Communicate overall priorities for the extended team to Team Leads based on:
- Ship date (day/week/month)
- Quantity of units
- Aged units
- Capacity
- Efficiency
- Quality issues from Assembly and/or vendors
- Safety & 6S’s in place
- Lean tools
- Problem‑solving tools and Action plan (PDCA).
- Attendance, OT, and PTO execution
- Training execution
- Staffing execution
- Workload balance
- Performance feedback to Manager
- Manage/escalate issues impacting the extended team and communicate to:
- Peer Manager(s)
- Manager
- Customer PM(s)
- NPI PM(s)
- Process Improvement /5S Leadership
- Work with extended team to identify and execute process/tool improvements:
- Manager
- Manufacturing Engineering / Development Engineering
- Maintenance Team
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
- 6+ years of experience in a high‑complexity technology manufacturing environment with experience in project management, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and new product introduction
- 0–3+ years of leading and mentoring technical and non‑technical teams
- Lean manufacturing hands‑on experience
- Prominent level of integrity and strong work ethic
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to all levels of employees
- Ability to pull information from numerous sources and consolidate it into a plan/direction for the organization
