Quality Inspector
Duties for this position include
- Monitor part and process quality and support the implementation and sustenance of the corrective and preventative actions and countermeasures.
- Work closely cross-functionally to ensure consistent high quality.
- Audit manufacturing lines against approved manufacturing processes, procedures, and requirements.
- Verify and audit incoming, in-process, and outgoing material to Cel Link and Customer Quality and Engineering requirements and specifications.
- Promptly communicate emerging and trending quality issues.
- Lead and co-ordinate containment, sorting, and MRB activities as needed.
- Support and participate in Quality System Development activities.
- Train operators/inspectors regarding quality, inspection, and rework.
- Support drafting, reviewing various documents, such as Work Instructions, Quality Alerts, etc.

Experience/Education
- High school diploma required (College degree or equivalent preferred but not required)
- 1 or more years of experience in a Quality Inspection role
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Mechanical inspection experience using basic and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc).
- Familiar with common workplace software (Microsoft Office).
- Independent problem solver with a desire to learn new skills and new technology.
- Strong organization skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Able to adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced start-up setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Plusses
- Experience in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, etc.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices, 5S
- Prior start-up experience

Physical Demands – Office and Manufacturing Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and pull/push; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment –
Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run/maintain machines.
PPE-
May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump-caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures.
