About the Role
The Manufacturing Process Engineer leads measurement and analysis of manufacturing processes, develops processes and tooling, implements SOPs, and drives continuous improvements across the factory. The scope covers the end‑to‑end production process—from material preparation and assembly to testing, shipment preparation, and support for the broader Manufacturing Engineering Team. Responsibilities include mass‑production efficiency or new‑product launches.
What You’ll Do- Design, implement, and measure manufacturing processes.
- Document SOPs and train operators to drive efficiency and consistency.
- Prioritize process flexibility for rapid product turnover.
- Collect and analyze key production metrics such as cycle time and yield to identify improvement opportunities.
- Track KPI performance against control limits and report excursions.
- Maintain accurate Value Stream Maps.
- Participate in factory‑wide improvement initiatives.
- Lead domain‑specific improvement initiatives to implement process changes.
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend updates to alleviate them.
- Root‑cause and resolve factory interruptions.
- Ensure tools and equipment are in place and maintained in collaboration with factory leadership.
- Document, elevate, and improve issues reported by factory teams.
- Work with NPI Engineers to ensure factory capability for new products.
- Assist with DFM and PFMEA on new products.
- Support assessment of new product technologies and process requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience and passion for Continuous Improvement, Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
- Ability to apply technical expertise in varied scenarios.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with collaboration and flexibility.
- Analytical skills, including data mining for meaningful conclusions.
- Familiarity with Data Analytics best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to simplify complex issues for diverse audiences.
- Ability to consolidate information from multiple sources into a plan.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
