Cycle Counter

Summary

Responsible for supporting inventory accuracy initiatives including cycle counting investigation, root cause analysis, and reconciliation.

• Track materials for engineering changes and balance outs to ensure minimal obsolescence.
• Perform scheduled cycle counting of raw material, components, and finished goods.
• Assist in plant organization to determine and label locations for raw material, components, and packaging. Assist as required in plant activities to achieve quality, productivity, and cost reduction goals.
• Attend APQP and other kick‑off meetings for new jobs. Release orders to vendors via EDI, e‑mail, or fax.
• Support plant annual physical inventory activity and investigate and adjust negative inventories daily.
• Perform all duties as requested by the Materials Manager.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures (e.g., quality policy manual, associate handbook, Level II procedures).
• Comply with all internal and OSHA‑required safety procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas.

  Experience:
  
  One year of college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Language
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; present information effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Mathematical
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply basic algebra and geometry; solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule instructions.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: APICS Certification C.P.I.M preferred.
