Position Overview:

As a Semiconductor Orbital Welder, you'll be responsible for welding, assembling, testing, and repairing critical vacuum, pneumatic, and gas delivery systems used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Your role will be key to maintaining the high standards of quality, safety, and precision required in this cutting-edge industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate orbital welding equipment for stainless steel and specialty alloy tubing, fittings, and vacuum components.
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, WPS, and technical drawings to ensure precise fabrication.
  • Assemble, repair, and troubleshoot vacuum, gas delivery, and pneumatic systems.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and verification of welds and assemblies utilizing measuring tools, leak detectors, and testing instruments.
  • Maintain orbital welding equipment and complete accurate production documentation.
  • Follow strict safety, quality, and cleanliness standards endemic to semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; welding certification or technical training preferred.
  • Experience with Ultra High Purity (UHP) and orbital welding is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and technical instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs. and work comfortably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules; availability for day, swing, and weekend shifts.
  • Additional certifications such as TIG/MIG welding, OSHA 10, and prior semiconductor manufacturing experience are advantageous.
Pay Rate:
  • Orbital Welder I: $22.50 - $25.00/hour
  • Orbital Welder II: $24.50 - $27.50/hour

Pay Details: $22.50 to $27.50 per hour
