Job Summary Under the general direction of a Production Supervisor, the Assembly Production Associate plans, prepares and assembles sub- assemblies and final assemblies of all crane products, meeting company standards for quality and quantity. May perform Assembler duties in any work center as required.

Key Responsibilities
• Follow documented procedures to perform safe and defect-free assembly and adjustment of parts and components.
• Leverage lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and waste elimination.
• Use hand and industrial power tools for assembly and lifting devices to move heavy components.
• Be held accountable for completing standard work within a reasonable cycle time.
• Crosstrain in other work areas and learn new work procedures.
• Plan workflow and lay out jobs. Inspect parts for adherence to specifications; grind or torch as needed.
• Fill counterweights, cut and stamp gaskets.
• Assemble hydraulics and air lines.
• Locate parts needed for the assembly process. Lubricate and grease parts.
• Assemble cranes and crane sub-assemblies for standard products, first-run or pilot products in support of and meeting production schedules. Ensure bearings, seals and hydraulics fit and operate according to instructions.
• Assist in maintaining the flow of work through the department.
• Ensure production specifications and quality standards are met.
• Operate and perform final check of finished products.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Follow and comply with all safety regulations and practices.
• Complete all required paperwork.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 1–2 years of assembly or manufacturing experience (preferred; heavy equipment industry a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude with proficiency using hand and power tools.

• Basic math and measurement skills (fractions, decimals, tape measure, calipers).
• Forklift or overhead crane operation experience preferred (certification/training provided).

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods during a shift.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull materials and parts up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance or mechanical devices.
• Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms to handle tools, materials, and equipment.
• Visual acuity to read blueprints, work instructions, and inspection tools; ability to detect defects or irregularities in materials and assemblies.
• Ability to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, hearing protection, and fall protection as needed.
• Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving cranes, heavy equipment, welding fumes, noise, and varying temperatures.
• May be required to climb ladders, work at heights, or operate forklifts and overhead cranes with proper training and certification.
