Campus Pastor

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Hill Country Bible Church at Georgetown is actively seeking a Campus Pastor for our Sun City campus to oversee logistics and champion HCBCGT's vision. Sun City is the second-largest retirement community in the United States. This campus is made up of predominantly retired citizens who are still seeking to make a difference in their community. This position will collaborate closely with the Lead Pastor, lead ministry operations at Sun City, and lead staff effectively.

This pivotal role involves preaching regularly, guiding Life Group structures across all of HCBCGT, implementing our Connection Ministry at both locations, spearheading community outreach efforts, and ensuring alignment with the church's overarching mission and vision. The ideal candidate would be forty-five or older, a seasoned communicator who can connect and lead PIPs (Previously Important People).

• UNITY – Provide vision and purpose for the Sun City campus that is tightly aligned with the HCBC mission, vision, values, and its leadership
• SPIRITUAL OVERSIGHT
  – Model and inspire a culture of people who seek after the face of God in worship, in prayer, in His word, and in following His Spirit
• DISCIPLESHIP – Disciple believers toward growth, teaching them to:
  • Scritpture:
    Hold scripture in high regard as the final authority in thie daily life
  • Worship – Prioritize God’s place and God’s praise
  • Acceptance:
    Giving value to each and every person as an image barrer of the King
  • Transformation:
    Leading with the understanding that the Gospel still transforms hearts and lives
  • Give – Tithe (first 10%), give (anything beyond the tithe), and give generously
  • Serve – Be a regular contributor to their local church in service both vertically (participating in 24/7 prayer and worship) and horizontally (serving on a ministry team)
• EVANGELISM – Drive outreach, evangelistic, and invitational efforts to reach those outside the church with the gospel
• CONNECTIONS – Ensure newcomers feel welcome, have a great experience, and are provided with next steps and follow-up to move them from a visitor to a connected congregant
• MOBILIZATION – Move the congregation toward active volunteerism vertically and horizontally
• COMMUNICATION – While the Campus Pastor is not expected to preach on a regular basis, the ability to effectively communicate the mission, vision, and purpose of HCBCGT is essential

• VISION CASTING – Inspires faith, unity, and forward momentum by articulating a clear, compelling vision for the campus
• TEAM BUILDING – Recruits, equips, and empowers volunteers and leaders who carry the mission forward with excellence, through ongoing coaching, intentional discipleship, and meaningful serving opportunities
• SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP – Models a vibrant, whole-hearted devotion to Christ that spurs on others to abandon the pursuits of this life in order to pursue deeper intimacy, obedience, and devotion to Him
