Job Description
Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is looking for a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and works under the guidance of the Center Physician for medical issues.
About the RoleThe primary duties involve determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. The specialist will support the plasma collection process in a fast‑paced, patient‑focused environment while ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
How You Will Contribute- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE).
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for problematic findings or medical/technical guidance.
- Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
- Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation requirements by occupational health or ER.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus graduate equivalent of an accredited nursing program with state requirements.
- Current license or certification in the state of assignment: LPN or LVN.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA-approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly Wage Range: $25.60 – $35.20
