Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse Emergency PRN, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn – whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.
Responsibilities- Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
- Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Provides exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, striving to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
- Tires patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
- Tires patients/families/caregivers about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self‑management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Trauma Nursing Core Course obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Registered Nurse (RN) credential
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- No Travel Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience
