Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a 13-week contract requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and ACLS certification.

• Active RN license (Texas or Compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR/Surgery nursing experience
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Surgery Operating Room department within a hospital setting
• 4-bed unit with 1:1 patient ratios
• Procedures include orthopedic, robotic general surgery, urology, breast oncology, podiatry, and ENT cases
• Uses standard OR equipment and Meditech EMR
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Call required, including rotating weekday and weekend (24-hour) shifts, with weekend call limited to call cases only
• Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties as part of a collaborative OR team
• Team includes OR Manager, Charge Nurse, CSTs, RNs, schedulers, and support staff
• Ceil blue scrub color required
• Candidates should be flexible and personable to fit the unit's team culture
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
