Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision performs manual labor tasks to maintain the Quarry Splash Pad and associated park facilities.
- Monitors splash pad safety.
- Cleans the park pavilions, grounds, and restrooms.
- Provides manual labor necessary to operate and maintain the Quarry Splash Pad.
- Ensures the splash pad, pavilions, restrooms, and grounds are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition.
- Assists park maintenance staff in other park operational duties.
- Performs opening and closing duties as assigned; detail oriented.
- Monitors chemical use, readings, and records.
- Completes all necessary forms for daily operation and closing procedures.
- Experiences extensive public contact.
- Remains alert and ready to assist splash pad users.
- Posts pavilion reservation information and assists park visitors in the same.
- Courteously advises park visitors of all splash pad rules and regulations to ensure safe use and enjoyment.
- Provides good customer service to all splash pad patrons and fellow employees in the performance of duties.
- Assists park visitors with charges and collects fee via a laptop computer.
- Periodically assists park staff with revenue reconciliation procedures.
- Performs work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Work schedule will include weekends and/or holidays.
- Understands both written and oral work orders to complete assigned tasks.
- Readily complies with departmental and countywide policies and procedures.
- Performs related special projects as assigned.
The physical demands and environmental factors listed below, as well as regular attendance, are also essential functions for this position.
Physical Demands- Prolonged walking, standing, sitting, climbing, and bending.
- Lifting up to 50lbs.
- Works outside in the heat, sun, high humidity and wind.
- Exposure to chemicals.
- Slippery surfaces with basic crowd noise factors.
- Williamson County has adopted a Tobacco‑Free Workplace policy. This policy prohibits smoking or use of any tobacco product on Williamson County premises. Williamson County and Cities Health District offers a smoking cessation program, free to all employees and spouses.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety materials and instructions.
- Ability to use good judgment to determine action needed during emergency situations.
- Possess good oral communication skills.
- Ability to establish a good working relationship with employees and maintain a good relationship with the general public in all age groups.
- Maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
- Employment is contingent on passing post‑offer, pre‑employment, and periodic drug testing and criminal background investigations.
- CPR/AED certified.
- Flexible work schedule, including working weekends and holidays may often be required to meet operational and maintenance needs. Non‑Essential Personnel for Emergency Situations; unless employees are designated by Department Heads or employees are in other offices that are open.
