Schunk Xycarb Technology is seeking experienced Quality Control Technicians to join our growing manufacturing team in Georgetown, Texas. This full-time position offers competitive pay based on experience and eligibility for our full benefits package.

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM

The Quality Control Technician performs detailed inspections of high‑precision quartz and machined components used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role ensures dimensional accuracy, quality compliance, and documentation accuracy using advanced metrology tools, CMM programming, and established quality systems. The ideal candidate has experience working with quartz materials and thrives in a fast‑paced, accuracy‑driven environment, with a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of product quality.

• Conduct incoming, in‑process, and final dimensional inspections using a variety of precision measurement tools based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform daily checks and support calibration of inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, and test indicators.
• Provide guidance, training, and technical support to manufacturing teams on best inspection practices.
• Perform visual inspections according to internal and customer cosmetic requirements.
• Identify, document, and segregate non‑conforming material following established internal procedures.
• Accurately document inspection results per internal and customer standards using Microsoft Excel and internal systems.
• Verify that all manufacturing documentation (inspection sheets, process plans, travelers, etc.) is complete and accurate.
• Participate in Corrective Action Request (CAR) investigations, including root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Set up, adjust, or adapt inspection equipment as needed to support production schedules.
• Program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM); experience with portable/mobile measurement systems (e.g., Faro Arm) is a plus.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑compliant Quality Control Laboratory.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams on product concerns or quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, 5S, and SPC programs.
• Assist with Engineering and Manufacturing special projects as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• 2‑year degree preferred, with two or more years of experience as a machinist or in machine‑shop inspection.
• Hands‑on experience working with quartz materials or components.
• Formal training or experience using precision measurement tools.
• Experience programming and operating CMM and other metrology equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis and reporting.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑precision manufacturing environment requiring accuracy and attention to detail.

• Experience with SPC, control charts, Cp/Cpk analysis
