Five Below Store Manager

We are seeking a Store Manager to lead a team in driving sales and delivering excellent customer service. The role involves overseeing daily operations, training associates, managing stock, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

• Ensure crew members wow customers through personal contact and B.E.S.T. customer service.
• Oversee daily activities of all store associates, ensuring effective performance and excellent customer service.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for efficient floor placement.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when needed, handling store operations, staff management, and urgent issues.
• Manage opening and closing of the store, securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and ensuring smooth operations.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies, product knowledge, and procedures.
• Drive store sales and control expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service.
• Partner with store leadership in merchandising procedures and recovery.
• Perform store maintenance, including garbage removal, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the stock room.

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Creative thinking.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

• Frequently operate cash register.
• Frequently move merchandise up to 25 lbs and up to 5-10 feet.
• Frequently use ladders for stock retrieval.
• Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stock room and sales floor.
• Communicate with customers and staff via telephone and face-to-face.
• Move across sales floor assisting customers and accessing stock room.
• Work flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, overnight shifts, and travel as required.
• Identify and follow email and print instructions for merchandise layouts, schedules, and SOPs.
• Remain in stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
