Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and buildings to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role supports equipment uptime, assists with installations, and ensures compliance with company safety and environmental policies.
Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery, tools, and facility equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility projects.
Maintain and repair building systems including HVAC, lighting, and safety equipment.
Operate hand tools, power tools, welding machines, and shop equipment as needed.
Document maintenance activities and irregularities in logs and reports.
Follow all OSHA, environmental, and company safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures.
Maintain housekeeping and organization in the maintenance shop and work areas.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Proficiency with basic shop equipment (welders, cutting torches, drill press, grinders, saws, etc.).Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Computer literacy; experience with maintenance tracking systems a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varied environments.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods during a shift.
Regularly lift, carry, push, or pull materials and parts up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance or mechanical devices.
Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms to handle tools, materials, and equipment.
Visual acuity to read blueprints, work instructions, and inspection tools; ability to detect defects or irregularities in materials and assemblies.
Ability to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, hearing protection, and fall protection as needed.
Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving cranes, heavy equipment, welding fumes, noise, and varying temperatures.
May be required to climb ladders, work at heights, or operate forklifts and overhead cranes with proper training and certification.
