Position – Maintenance Manager

Location: Georgetown, TX (GTU)

Compensation: $94k-$100k, based on experience

Relocation assistance is available for this position.

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the inspection, repair, maintenance, and return-to-service activities for Aero Guard-owned and/or operated aircraft.

The Maintenance Manager will perform or supervise aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company procedures, approved technical data, and Aero Guard inspection procedures manuals. This position will work closely with the Director of Maintenance to ensure aircraft remain safe, serviceable, and compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform or supervise inspections, routine servicing, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, and return-to-service activities on company aircraft.

  • Ensure maintenance activities are completed in accordance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and approved technical data.

  • Ensure maintenance records and supporting documentation are completed accurately and in accordance with Aero Guard inspection procedures manuals for qualifying aircraft.

  • Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance to ensure company aircraft remain compliant with applicable federal regulations and company requirements.

  • Supervise, support, and provide direction to assigned maintenance personnel.

  • Ensure maintenance personnel receive the appropriate training for the level of work being performed.

  • Provide or coordinate general safety training, including training related to available firefighting and emergency equipment.

  • Ensure required technical data is current, accurate, and readily available to maintenance personnel.

  • Ensure required tooling and equipment are available, serviceable, and properly calibrated when applicable.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized hangar and shop environment.

  • Ensure periodic inspections of fire and safety equipment are completed to verify serviceability and adequacy.

  • Maintain an appropriate supply of approved aircraft parts to support timely aircraft repairs and servicing.

  • Monitor parts inventory to minimize aircraft downtime while avoiding unnecessary stockpiling or financial strain.

  • Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly evaluated, corrected, documented, and returned to service.

  • Identify existing or potential maintenance problems and develop appropriate corrective solutions.

  • Coordinate maintenance priorities according to aircraft availability, operational requirements, and client needs.

  • Operate applicable shop equipment, tools, vehicles, and aircraft as required.

  • Maintain a basic set of hand tools necessary to perform standard servicing and maintenance on general aviation aircraft.

  • Maintain accurate and complete maintenance, inspection, inventory, training, and safety documentation.

  • Perform work in hangar, ramp, office, and outdoor aircraft maintenance environments.

  • Travel out of state when required.

  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The Maintenance Manager may delegate duties and responsibilities to qualified company personnel. Delegation of individual tasks does not relieve the Maintenance Manager of overall responsibility for the maintenance operation.
