About the Accountant Role

The Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial operations, process improvement, and organizational reporting. The Accountant will partner with internal teams to enhance workflows, strengthen internal controls, and provide high‑quality financial insights that support strategic decision‑making.

Responsibilities of the Accountant

• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations across various statement of financial position and statement of activities accounts.
• Support annual accounting processes, including financial statement audits, budgeting cycles, corporate insurance renewals, and tax return preparation.
• Assist in reviewing finance and accounting processes and evaluating financial software systems to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
• Help develop, maintain, and distribute financial models, visualizations, and analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that guide resource allocation.
• Enhance and build finance and accounting workflows using tools such as Microsoft Power Platform and generative AI, including documentation for internal knowledge sharing.
• Assist in ongoing evaluations of internal control structures to identify and close gaps.
• Measure, track, and report on instances of policy or procedural non‑compliance.
• Support cross‑functional initiatives and participate in special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications for the Accountant Role

• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, or similar platforms.
• At least one year of accounting experience; a bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
