We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of a rapidly-growing manufacturing organization. This leadership role focuses on managing international subsidiary accounting activities, including financial statement translation, intercompany transactions, and month-end close standardization. The ideal candidate will partner closely with global finance leads and report to senior financial leadership to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for all international subsidiaries’ accounting functions, fostering strong relationships with local finance teams and business leaders.
- Analyze and interpret financial results, revenue streams, and operational drivers of international entities to provide meaningful insights for domestic leadership.
- Perform foreign currency translation of international financial statements in accordance with ASC 830, applying appropriate exchange rates and recording translation adjustments.
- Own intercompany accounting processes, including reconciliation, mismatch resolution, and posting consolidating entries for intercompany transactions.
- Design and implement standardized month-end close procedures across international entities, including checklists, templates, and deadlines.
- Review and improve month-end close timeliness, accuracy, and documentation quality across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support consolidation activities by preparing elimination entries to accurately reflect intercompany revenues, expenses, and balances.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal standards, maintaining thorough documentation for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with global teams to enhance accounting processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
- Assist with audit cycles, providing necessary documentation and reconciliations for external auditors.
- Maintain expertise in international accounting standards, cost accounting, and manufacturing inventory practices.
- Lead and develop team members to meet key deadlines and operational goals.
- 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience with a solid background in corporate or private equity environments.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards, especially related to international accounting.
- Proven experience managing month-end close cycles and supporting audit processes.
- International and intercompany accounting expertise, including financial statement translation and consolidation.
- Technical accounting depth with experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, and inventory management.
- CPA license preferred.
- ERP proficiency with systems such as Infor, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Strong leadership skills with prior team management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Experience with SOX compliance standards is a plus.
