Description

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a growing real estate organization. This Contract opportunity is ideal for an accounting specialist who brings accuracy, sound judgment, and a strong sense of organization to daily bookkeeping activities. The person in this role will help keep financial records current, support reporting needs, and contribute to smooth back-office operations in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily bookkeeping activities across payables, receivables, and general ledger entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and related financial records on a consistent schedule to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.

- Process vendor invoices and payments while tracking customer balances and following up on outstanding receivables.

- Prepare monthly financial summaries, supporting reports, and account reconciliations for leadership review.

- Monitor real estate-related financial activity, including commissions, transaction costs, and associated expenses.

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking to support informed business decisions.

- Provide support for payroll coordination and employee expense reporting with attention to accuracy and timeliness.

- Help maintain compliance with established accounting practices, documentation standards, and internal controls.

- Contribute to year-end audit readiness and assist with tax preparation by organizing records and supporting schedules.

- Safeguard confidential financial data and company information through careful record handling and secure processes

Requirements - At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a business environment.

- Hands-on experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and Microsoft Excel for financial recordkeeping and reporting.

- Solid knowledge of core bookkeeping practices and general accounting principles.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain organized and accurate records.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with internal stakeholders and external partners.
