About the Role

TAC Auction Services is seeking a highly capable Accounting Manager to oversee our day‑to‑day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support our continued growth.

You will work directly with ownership and the Accounting Coordinator and play a key role in keeping the financial of the business organized, accurate, and moving forward.

This role will work closely with our bookkeeping company and must be able to actively support them by providing accurate information, responding to requests in a timely manner, and ensuring smooth coordination between operations and accounting.

This is a high‑priority need and requires someone who is ready to step in, take initiative, and help create stability and forward progress immediately.

What this role is responsible for Accounting Functions - Assist Accounting Coordinator
  • Manage all accounting functions in Quick Books Online.
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial statements.
  • Process customer payments and seller payouts accurately and on time.
  • Record auction sales, commissions, fees, and related transactions.
  • Manage payroll or coordinate with the payroll provider.
  • Prepare sales tax reports and assist with tax filings.
  • Work with the company's CPA during month‑end and year‑end close.
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare financial reports for management.
  • Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Maintaining accounting procedure manuals, forms, and departmental templates.
  • Coordinating mail distribution related to invoices, payments, checks, and financial correspondence.
  • Assisting with special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Performing general clerical duties such as filing, copying, and document preparation.
Administrative & Compliance

The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining the company's administrative processes and ensuring compliance with financial, tax, and operational requirements. This position requires a highly organized professional who can manage documentation, deadlines, and internal controls while supporting the company's overall business operations.

What We Are Looking For Required
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial operations, or business operations
  • Strong experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and banking
  • Solid understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Experience preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Ability to analyze discrepancies and resolve variances independently
  • Strong understanding of cash vs. accrual accounting principles
  • Experience with month‑end and year‑end close processes
  • Quick Books Online experience required (certification is a plus)
  • MS Office proficiency required
  • Ability to work independently and make sound financial decisions
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow‑through
  • Willingness to take initiative, dig in, and fully resolve issues
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
Preferred
  • ADP or similar payroll system experience
  • Experience working with multi‑entity or multi‑location accounting environments
  • Familiarity with internal controls and process improvement
  • Auction software experience
  • Auction or consignment industry experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with changing priorities

Ideally, we are seeking a candidate with experience in the auction industry; however, candidates with strong financial acumen and a solid accounting background will also be considered.
