Property Accountant (Hybrid)

Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Property Accountant to join a stable and collaborative team supporting a portfolio of residential properties throughout Metro Atlanta.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the full accounting cycle for assigned properties while maintaining a healthy work-life balance through a hybrid schedule. You'll gain exposure to monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and operational accounting in an environment that values accuracy, teamwork, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements for assigned properties
Record journal entries and manage general ledger activity
Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure balance sheet accuracy
Analyze financial performance and investigate variances
Support internal and external audit requests
Respond to financial inquiries and provide accounting support as needed
Assist with special projects and other general accounting responsibilities

Monthly financial statements are completed accurately and on time
Account reconciliations are thorough, with discrepancies identified and resolved promptly
Financial variances are clearly explained through thoughtful analysis
Strong partnerships with internal teams contribute to efficient accounting operations
Accounting records remain organized, accurate, and audit-ready

Qualifications

3+ years of property accounting experience (multi-family)
Experience working with accounting and/or property management systems
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
