Staff Accountant

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a staff accountant at our Hartwell, GA location. Responsibilities would include preparing and analyzing financial statements, conducting audits and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Daily tasks also include (but are not limited to) preparing income tax returns for individuals and businesses, clean-up of accounting/financial records for clients, and providing business consulting and management assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial recordkeeping, preparation and analysis of financial statements
• Knowledge in audit and assurance services, and compliance with accounting standards
• Experience in income tax planning and preparing income tax returns for various entities
• Skills in business consulting and management assistance
• Experience with accounting software and tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plus
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience
• Quick Books experience or Quick Books Pro Advisor designation is also a plus
