City Clerk

Overview

This is a full-time, on-site role for a City Clerk located in Quitman, GA. The City Clerk will maintain official records, manage public documents, and oversee the administration of municipal elections. The role includes responsibilities such as ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, providing administrative support to city officials, and preparing agendas and minutes for city council meetings. The City Clerk will also be the point of contact for public records requests and play a key role in organizing and maintaining records management systems.

• Maintain official records and manage public documents.

• Proficiency in Records Management and Public Administration practices.
• Strong skills in Administrative Assistance and document preparation.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of local government processes and regulations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant computer software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
