JOB DESCRIPTIONLong County Probate and Magistrate Court will be seeking to fill a full‑time court clerk position. Resumes will be accepted beginning April 15, 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Answer the telephone
- Greet and serve the public
- File and record documents into the court records
- Maintain court records with accuracy and organization
- Provide copies
- Keep deadlines calendared accurately
- Assist during hearings
- Other duties as assigned
- Pass a criminal background check
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of computers, copy machines, postage meters, and telephone systems
- Type a minimum of 50 wpm
- Possess the ability to file, scan, and record documents
- Must have customer service experience and strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Prior legal experience
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
