Overview
The Madison County Health Department, part of the Georgia Department of Public Health, is hiring for a clerical position. The role involves a variety of clerical duties including WIC registration, data entry, maintaining detailed filing and record systems, and providing front‑desk and receptionist support.
Responsibilities- Provides clerical and administrative support to assigned staff and programs.
- Performs front desk and receptionist duties, including answering phones and greeting visitors.
- Prepares, files, scans, and maintains records, reports, and other documents.
- Enters and updates information in agency databases and electronic systems.
- Schedules appointments and assists with general office operations.
- Maintains office supplies and operates standard office equipment.
- Maintains confidentiality and performs related duties as assigned.
Required: High school diploma or GED and at least two (2) years of general office or administrative experience. Demonstrated customer service, excellent computer skills, good reading and comprehension abilities, and strong interview and communication skills.
Preferred: Medical experience and bilingual skills.
