Duties
Serving as a Management Analyst (DHS Career Expo-JAX) GS-0343-9/11 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the office of the Associate Director for Training Ops (TOPS), Training Management Operations Directorate (TOPS/TMO).
The primary purpose of this position is to provide advisory services and perform administrative, and management duties related to the establishment, implementation and operation of the directorate.
Typical Duties- Providing comprehensive administrative and liaison support to management to include managing calendars, coordinating meetings, serving as a point of contact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing and delivering briefings, ensuring the information presented is accurate and up to date.
- Performing budget administration and analysis by tracking expenditures, compiling materials for budget formulation and recommending reallocation of funds.
- Coordinating human resources and office management activities to ensure compliance is met with administrative policies and procedures.

Specialized Experience At The GS-09You qualify at the GS-09 grade level if you possess one of the following:
- One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in Federal service, or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the ability to: (1) Assist in the collection, analysis, and compilation of administrative data to support program operations and decision‑making. (2) Coordinate administrative tasks with staff and management, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and supporting the preparation of briefings and presentations.
(3) Assist with budget tracking and reporting and provide administrative support for human resources processes such as employee benefits, staffing, and training. - A master’s or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher‑level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
- A combination of successfully completed graduate‑level education and specialized experience as described above that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement. Only graduate education in excess of the first year may be used to qualify for the GS-09 level.
You qualify at the GS-11 grade level if you possess one of the following:
- One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in Federal service, or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the ability to: (1) Advise management and senior leadership on complex and sensitive administrative matters, including developing and implementing procedures to improve operational effectiveness. (2) Coordinate and facilitate communication between senior leadership and internal/external stakeholders, including preparing briefings, presentations, and responses to inquiries.
