We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Healthcare Administrative Assistant and Coordinator to support operations at Hancock State Prison | Sparta, GA.
This is a fast-paced, high-demand environment requiring a professional who can manage competing priorities, maintain accuracy under pressure, and provide strong administrative support to clinical leadership and facility operations.
Schedule:
Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation:
Starting at $24-$26 an hour | based on experience

The Healthcare Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of a high-volume correctional healthcare environment. This position requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Responsibilities- Managing complex scheduling and coordination for clinical and leadership staff
- Preparing and maintaining accurate reports, spreadsheets, and documentation
- Supporting onboarding and administrative tracking for staff and contractors
- Maintaining organized electronic and paper filing systems
- Drafting professional correspondence and internal communications
- Serving as a key point of contact for administrative inquiries within behavioral health services
- Ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding items and operational needs
- Required:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in health services management, health care administration, or a related healthcare field - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical or healthcare setting
- At least 2 years of administrative support experience in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook required)
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and maintain accuracy under pressure
- Professional demeanor with the ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to obtain security clearance, including drug screening and background check
