Project Assistant

We are looking for a detail-focused Project Assistant to support construction project operations in Covington, Georgia. This long-term contract position will partner closely with project and cost management teams to help maintain accurate documentation, track project changes, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings a process-driven mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to help protect the financial performance of projects from planning through closeout.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and process project change documentation accurately within designated tracking systems to support cost control and project visibility.
• Work alongside the Construction Cost Manager to help maintain the financial accuracy of active construction projects.
• Monitor workflow timelines and follow up with project team members to promote accountability and timely completion of required actions.
• Communicate progress updates, approvals, and outstanding items to external cost control partners and other involved stakeholders.
• Respond to documentation and status requests from third-party firms in a timely and thorough manner.
• Support change management activities by organizing records, tracking submissions, and helping move items through review and approval stages.
• Assist with project scheduling, document scanning, and administrative coordination to keep project information current and accessible.
• Contribute to overall project profitability by helping ensure records, costs, and change-related activity are properly documented from project kickoff through completion.
