Project Estimator

Osmose is seeking a new Project Estimator who is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and analyzing costs associated with construction and development projects of varying sizes and complexities. This role plays a key part in supporting strategic decision-making by delivering accurate and timely cost and margin estimates that align with organizational goals. Project Estimators work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop pricing strategies that are both competitive and profitable, ensuring the success of project bids and proposals, as well as the long‑term success in the execution of projects through the transfer of accurate “As‑Bid”, “As‑Approved”, and “As‑Sold” cost models to the PM and Operations organizations.

• Collaborate with internal teams (Contracts, BD, Operations, Project Management), clients, and stakeholders to develop innovative, data‑driven pricing models that align with both customer expectations and company profitability goals.
• Apply consistent, scalable, and repeatable methodologies to assess competitive positioning, proposal requirements, and pricing strategies.
• Manage and ensure the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of all project proposals throughout the entire proposal lifecycle.
• Analyze operational and financial data to forecast project costs, identify trends, and support executive decision‑making.
• Participate in the review and refinement of estimating processes, tools, and templates to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide analytical support during negotiations and assist in value engineering exercises to optimize project scope and cost.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in cost estimating, financial modeling, or data analytics.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas and pivot tables).
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Qlik is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• High level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.

• Occasional travel may be required to project sites, client meetings, or company events, typically within the southeastern U.S. region.
• Travel will not exceed 10–15% annually unless project demands increase temporarily.
