Job Summary
The Manager, Market Contracting assists the Director and manages a team to negotiate and manage assigned contracts. Responsibilities include analyzing contract proposals, conducting financial impact assessments, and supporting quality and affordability initiatives (QAIs).
Essential Functions- Track and trend contracting activity, inventory, and priorities.
- Assist in developing and evolving the team’s strategic direction, annual goals, and objectives; recommend new processes to increase department productivity.
- Ensure network adequacy and access across all products.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external partners.
- Develop and report key accomplishments and issues to upper management.
- Lead cross‑functional work groups for special priority contracts, create and manage work plans, and facilitate removal of barriers to ensure timely implementation.
- Conduct project team meetings to establish and execute detailed project plans.
- Report on key initiatives and accomplishments to leadership, including PowerPoint presentations.
- Ensure proper documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed by staff.
- Implement and maintain key metrics for staff performance.
- Manage day‑to‑day operations of direct reports, including hiring decisions, performance management, training, and staff development.
- Participate in network provider meetings and attend relevant committees or subcommittees.
- Manage multiple projects; collect, analyze, and disseminate data to appropriate departments.
- Ensure documentation of interactions and projects by team members.
- Coordinate contract language change requests to maintain template accuracy and utilization.
- Perform any other job duties as requested.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience) is required. A minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in health care or managed care is required. Experience in provider relations or contracting is required; previous management experience is preferred.

Valid driver’s license is required. Employment is conditional upon a successful driver’s license record check; an unacceptable record may lead to offer withdrawal or termination of employment.
Working ConditionsGeneral office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
CompensationSalary range: $83,000.00 – $. Compensation may include a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
