We’re looking for a Construction Manager for D&Z’s Feedwater Heater project in Baxley, GA.

As a Construction Manager here is the work you will do:
  • The CM is responsible for the successful oversight of all project construction. This shall include the safety of every employee during the execution of the project and promotes a strong safety culture.
  • Have working knowledge and implementation of the craft/labor agreements at project.
  • Maintaining relationships with local labor officials is being managed effectively, working with the Project Manager, having regular meetings with the building trades, and site meeting with the Job stewards for each craft, and promoting a harmonious work environment for all employees.
  • Maintaining the project is clean and orderly, holding staff, craft and subcontractors accountable.
  • Must be a team builder in bringing both direct hire and subcontractors together in the safe execution of the project, meeting the highest quality requirements meeting and cost and schedule
  • Responsible for assuring that every employee is trained to perform the task assigned.
  • Keeping client relations, a high priority, and brings issues to senior management when the situation calls for a higher level of action.
This role is for you if you have these skills/ qualification:
  • 10+ years of relevant Construction Management experience in the Construction nuclear industry, or similar responsible position at a similar facility and/or industry application.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field preferred, or equivalent of 15 years of construction experience.
  • Associate degree in a relevant field or the completion of an apprenticeship program required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, as well as other training required by the company
  • Must have broad base experience in managing projects scopes with demonstrated success managing all key elements of safety, human performance and Sub-Contract management project execution
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling and project cost accounting and project change management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of managing the project schedule. This position is for a sub-contract management project execution.
  • Experience of managing multiple construction subcontractors
  • Must have the knowledge to generate a construction execution plan, a staffing plan, with craft manpower curves over the life of a project.
  • Work experience with union building trades craft. (Need to provide experience in resume.)
Must be able to read, interpret and have working knowledge of the following:
  • Safety, Procedures ,Culture and field execution.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the function of the nuclear quality program under NQA-1.
  • Project documents and specifications.
  • Project change management
  • Assist in the generation of Scopes of work, for subcontract documents.
  • D&Z operating procedures. (training will be required in this)

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $140,000 - $225,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of union fringes).
