Essential Responsibilities- Perform a variety of general labor tasks to support heavy civil construction, working closely with heavy equipment operators in congested or tight areas to ensure efficient site preparation.
- Assist with tasks such as trenching, material handling and cutting and clueing conduit piping.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with crew members, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Promote a culture of safety and productivity by following all company, client, and regulatory safety standards and procedures.
- One‑year prior experience working in a mining, utilities or earth‑works environment as a laborer; a background as a track hoe or skid steer operator is preferred.
- Proactive and independent self‑starter who is safety focused.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices; OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
- Must be able to pass pre‑access drug and alcohol test and be provided a valid driver's license.
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, 8 hours per day; overtime rates apply after 40 hours worked per week and could be available at the discretion of the client.
- Living out allowance provided to those that are eligible.
- This is a long‑term, site‑based opportunity that will require travel.
