Flagger / Asphalt Laborer
Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Flagger / Asphalt Laborer based out of Vienna, GA. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Labor job duties are continually changing depending on the requirements of each project. Qualified candidates are expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.
MainResponsibilities
- Must have knowledge of the requirements of erecting and maintaining traffic control signs and other devices as prescribed in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
- Must keep equipment and materials neat, clean, and orderly at all times on the projects.
- Must be able to carry out detailed instructions, setting up and removing traffic control devices, but also must be able to use good judgement in decision making and be able to work without direct supervision.
- Must maintain a good attitude and be polite at all times to motorists.
- Must have the ability to work safely in traffic situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three to Six months related experience and/or training.
- Flagger/Traffic Control Training Certificate (Required).
- Driving License (Preferred).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or walk; talk or hear, and taste or smell.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Employee must have 20/40 vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses. Hearing should be excellent or corrected by audio device.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
