Job Summary:

Pipe Layers will work under the direct supervision of the jobsite foreman, superintendent, and project manager. The laborer is responsible for tasks involving physical labor and may include lifting, pulling, digging, cleaning work sites, maintaining and cleaning equipment and tools. This position will start on a project in Buena Vista, GA, then will be moved to a project in Crossville, TN and/or elsewhere after that.

So they must be willing to travel for work as needed. Per diem is offered at $100 per day worked to assist with temporary living expenses while more than 80 miles from your home address.

* Install and align pipelines and underground utilities according to project specifications.

* Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and pipe-laying machines.

* Assist with excavation, trenching, and grading activities.

* Ensure proper placement and alignment of pipes, fittings, and connectors.

* Perform inspections and repairs on existing pipelines as needed.

Requirements and

Education:

* Minimum of 5 years in construction labor.

* Minimum of 2 years of experience in pipeline installation or related field.

* Knowledge of construction practices and procedures.

* Familiarity with tools and equipment used in pipeline installation.

* Proficiency in pipeline installation techniques and underground utility construction.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.

* Familiarity with various types of pipe materials, fittings, and connectors.

* Knowledge of excavation, trenching, shoring, and grading techniques.

* Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols related to pipeline installation.

Preferred Requirements and

Education:

* High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

* Certification in pipeline installation or relevant vocational training is preferred.

Travel:

* Travel to different projects sites in the region is required as needed.
