Experience
- 2 years of related experience with skills in video production, including writing, field production, studio production, and post production Required
- Multimedia production experience Preferred
- Strong technology skills including up-to-date video production equipment, such as cameras, audio equipment, editing software, broadcast switchers, and studio and field video lighting gear
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple video projects simultaneously
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to shift seamlessly from one project to another
- Proactive mindset, a can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, and patience to adapt to changes when needed

Assist with the development, production, and distribution of video communications for Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) television and other system-related needs through engaging in a consistent, high-level, and collaborative team approach to projects that fulfill the mission and vision of GCPS.
- Assist with pre-production processes for video projects.
- Plan project formats, assist with scripts, and prepare interview content.
- Assist in organizing and scheduling recordings.
- Participate in developing new projects and other video communication ideas.
- Assist with production functions for GCPS TV.
- Assist with the setup of video cameras, audio, and lighting technology for field and studio productions.
- Prepare talent and/or guests for recording.
- Operate video camera, sound, and lighting systems during recording.
- Assist with set construction as needed.
- Assist with post production functions for GCPS TV.
- Edit video and audio using non-linear systems particularly Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premier Pro.
- Demonstrate skillful use of multimedia software including, but not limited to, Photoshop, After Effects, and Pro Presenter.
- Follow department processes relating to cataloging and archiving digital content using the media asset management software.
- Create graphics and animations for video projects.
- Participate as a member of a production team to support district live events.
- Assist in the setup of video field production equipment at the host site for the event.
- Perform duties necessary as a team member during the live events.
- Assist in the break down and removal of video field production equipment.
- Employee occasionally is to work events in the evenings or on the weekends outside of district business hours.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, negotiate stairs, climb ladders, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear, manipulate tools and small items with hands, and lift and transport up to 50 pounds over short distances. The employee is required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
The employee may be subjected to a wide range of ambient temperature and humidity conditions while working on equipment under varying conditions including overhead work and work in confined spaces. Potential hazards of this position include working with electricity, working with heat and noise producing machinery and equipment, working on elevated equipment using ladders or other lifting devices, and use of chemicals and solvents.
