Qualifications:
The Worship Leader is responsible for all music ministries within the church in conversation with the Pastor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: conducting rehearsals, providing/coordinating special music for Sundays and other worship services, and holiday services, including but not limited to Christmas Eve, Easter, Mother’s Day, & Father’s Day. The Worship Leader should develop a vision for the future of the music ministry at Powell Baptist Church.

Responsibilities Rehearse and direct choir/praise team. Consult with the Pastor on selecting appropriate music for Sunday worship and other special services. Coordinate special music, guest soloists, musicians and special holiday programs for worship services. Communicate with musicians for rehearsals and services. Select and purchase new music, as needed. Required Qualifications A functional working knowledge of vocal training and direction. Prior experience directing small choirs/praise teams.

Supports the ministry and vision of Powell Baptist Church. Personal Leave Vacation, personal time away from base duties should be scheduled with the Pastor. Vacation will begin with 2 weeks/year.
