Customer Service Representative
Union County Health Department is seeking a Customer Service Representative. As a Customer Service Representative with Union County Health Department at the Georgia Department of Public Health - District 2, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Customer Service Representative 1:
- Under direct supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations.
Customer Service Representative 2:
- Under general supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations.
- May resolve complicated issues involving customer service and/or researches governing policies, procedures or laws to respond to clients or visitors.
Additional responsibilities:
- Initial check in of patients for General Intake, CHC, TRV, and STD clinics. Gets current address, phone number, insurance card, any necessary documents from patients when checking them in.
- Monitor the patient waiting area. Direct clients to the appropriate clinics within the health department. If they need services outside of the health department the clerk will assist with information as best as possible.
- Receives, screens and directs telephone communications. Checks voicemail and returns calls periodically throughout the day.
Customer Service Representative 1: High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience communicating information in a customer service setting are required. Customer Service Representative 2: High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience communicating information in a customer service setting; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Customer Svc Rep 1 (GST
120) or position equivalent. Preferred Qualification: To be able to speak, read and write Spanish.
