Effingham County is seeking a full-time Communications Officer in the E-911 Center. This role handles emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatches units, and coordinates with police, fire, EMS, and other responders.
The position requires calm under pressure, strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Training begins with GA POST Basic Communications Officer certification within six months, plus EMT, GCIC Terminal Operator certifications.
