PH Part‑Time Pediatric Dentist within the District Two Public Health Dental Department serving Hart County & Franklin County.
Job Responsibilities- Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of staff.
- Diagnoses, treats, prevents and controls disorders of the teeth and mouth including gums and related oral structures.
- May treat diseases of nerve, pulp and other dental tissues affecting vitality of teeth.
- Perform hygiene exams.
- Perform dental exams.
- Take x‑rays.
- Apply fluoride and/or sealants.
- Perform prophylaxis, restorations and extractions.
- Prescribe medications for dental problems.
- Keep records relating to health and treatment of patients.
- Work within an equal partnering team and may instruct dental and non‑dental staff.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry.
- Willingness to travel (potential reimbursement).
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Familiarity with Medicaid & CHIPS program.
- Comfortable with pediatric practices.
- Doctorate or professional degree in dentistry from an accredited college or university.
- Three years of experience.
- Current Georgia license to practice dentistry.
