We’re growing and looking for a talented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) with a passion for pediatric care to join our team!
Position Summary: As a Pediatric EFDA, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our doctors and caring for our young patients. You will be instrumental in helping children feel at ease during treatment, assisting with a variety of procedures, and ensuring our clinical spaces run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pediatric dentists during a wide range of procedures, including sealants, fillings, crowns, and space maintainers
- Take digital X-rays and impressions as needed
- Provide clear communication and education to parents/guardians regarding home care and treatment plans
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Comfort and guide anxious or nervous children with patience and compassion
- Accurately chart and input treatment notes using dental software
- Keep clinical rooms clean, stocked, and organized
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certification – Required
- Radiology Certification – Required
- 1+ year of experience in a pediatric or general dental setting preferred
- Excellent communication skills with both children and parents
- Ability to stay calm, positive, and patient in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Open Dental experience is a plus
- CPR/BLS certification
