About the Company

PGAL is a national design firm specializing in architecture, interiors, engineering, and planning for a diverse group of public and private sector clients. We believe great design grows from a supportive and energized environment. That’s why we encourage initiative, value diverse perspectives, and give team members the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of their work. From your first day at PGAL, you will be part of a collaborative process where your voice matters and your contributions make a real impact.

If you are seeking a firm where design excellence is matched by commitment to professional development and a culture that values people, PGAL offers a place to thrive and grow.

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and proactive BIM Manager to bring strong technical expertise and leadership in Design Technology. This role is ideal for individuals with a deep understanding of Revit-based workflows, a passion for mentoring others, and the ability to drive Design Technology innovation across project types and teams. We are especially interested in candidates with experience managing large‑scale BIM workflows (multi‑office, multi‑discipline environments) and a background in aviation projects, including terminal design, support facilities, or related infrastructure.

As part of PGAL’s national Design Technology team, you’ll play a key role in supporting both project delivery and the firm’s evolving digital practice.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as BIM lead and technical advisor across multiple projects and teams working across multiple offices.
  • Collaborate with firm‑wide BIM Managers to develop and uphold Revit standards, protocols, and best practices.
  • Support project teams with model setup, workflow strategy, and content development, including project‑specific execution plans and modeling approaches.
  • Conduct model health audits, quality reviews, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal performance across Revit models.
  • Facilitate multi‑discipline coordination (architecture, interiors, structure, MEP), including model integration and clash mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain and organize shared content libraries, families, and detail components for reuse and version control.
  • Deliver training and mentorship to staff of various experience levels, including onboarding and continuing education.
  • Evaluate, test, and support the implementation of new BIM tools, Revit upgrades, and plug‑ins in collaboration with PGAL’s IT and DT teams.
  • Support interoperability between Revit and other platforms (e.g., Rhino, Navisworks) to enable workflows such as clash detection, quantity analysis, visualization, and other discipline‑specific processes.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Autodesk Forma as PGAL’s preferred Shared Data Environment (SDE), including coordination, model sharing, permission management, entitlements, folder bridging, and Model Coordination workflows.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of architectural experience in a BIM management or support role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related discipline from an accredited program.
  • Proven track record supporting large‑scale projects (200,000+ sq. ft.) in Revit; experience on aviation projects strongly preferred.
  • Strong background in BIM Execution Planning (BEP) and developing phase‑specific modeling strategies from SD through CA.
  • Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), including linked model workflows, collaboration tools, and documentation systems.
  • Experience coordinating across disciplines and across offices in multi‑model and multi‑office environments.
  • Familiarity with Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and model‑based coordination workflows.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement Revit best practices.
  • Knowledge of analysis tools (solar studies, quantity takeoffs, energy modeling) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Rhino, Navisworks, Dynamo, Enscape, or other BIM‑enhancing tools is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
Benefits
  • Medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan, and profit sharing.
  • Paid leave, including holidays, PTO, and paid parental leave.
  • Reimbursement program for individual study materials/courses, exam/license fees, and professional dues.
  • Paid time off to take exams.
