Structural BIM Modeler
5+ years of experience creating structural BIM models and CAD drawings. Strong experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. Experience modeling structural systems including:
Reinforced concrete Structural steel Rebar/reinforcement layouts Ability to create:
Shop drawings Fabrication drawings Construction documentation Installation details Experience coordinating models with engineers, architects, and construction teams. Understanding of building codes, construction practices, and industry standards. Experience performing model coordination and clash detection. Ability to generate material takeoffs and schedules. Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, Construction, Architecture, or related field preferred.
Develop detailed 2D and 3D structural models. Produce construction drawings and documentation packages. Create reinforcement layouts, connection details, and shop drawings. Coordinate BIM models across engineering, architecture, and construction teams. Conduct model reviews and support clash detection activities. Generate quantity takeoffs and material schedules. Maintain model accuracy through design, fabrication, and construction phases. Prepare visualizations and technical presentations for stakeholders.
